About A Taste of Italy at your Table

My name is Rossella Martinello. I was born and raised in a small town nestled by the sea in Calabria, Italy. I have lived in the Chicago area for over 20 years with my wonderful husband, Steve and son Jaiden. Our tuxedo cat, Lavinia (Lavi), recently joined our family. Gathering together to enjoy a meal with family and friends is at the core of our home.

Food is a big part of the italian culture. Therefore it’s no surprise that for as long as I can remember, cooking has been one of my greatest passions. Hence, I began to emulate my mother’s simple and delicious recipes from a young age.

As I got older, I realized that I could use my love of cooking and share it with others. That’s when I decided to create A Taste of Italy at your Table. My dream is to bring my Italian background into the homes of families so they too can enjoy quality time together while eating a delicious yet healthy meal. Along with preparing high quality dishes, I want to share all of Italy’s rich history, art and romantic ambiance. My cooking style is simple, colorful, and full of flavor. I only cook with the best, freshest quality ingredients that will add nutritious value to the meal.
