On a cold autumn day in Florence, the busker who inspired by mixed media portrait played with his band in front of a shop window. Reflections shifted in the glass, and I wondered how he kept his instrument and hands warm while playing and staying in tune. Uplifting one moment, soulful the next, the violinist seemed transported by the folk music.
