Painted Red & Black Gansu Sideboard - 19th Century Style - Tea Caddy 103 x 45 x 101This exquisite antique sideboard from Gansu province in Northern China was used for storing clothing and grain by the nomadic people of Gansu and the surrounding areas in the 19th century. The cabinet doors are beautifully decorated with household objects with a central panel depicting a high ranking Chinese official traveling in a wheeled palanquin accompanied by guards on horseback. The front doors have been modified from the original closed front
