1916 Kiwi bird print light living cottage which acts as a frameLovely antique kiwi bird print from a 1916 natural history book entitled "Wildlife of the world" by Richard Lydekker. This vintage print is in very good condition, with a slight yellowing of the paper at the edges. It shows two kiwi birds pecking in the high grass at night. Did you know that these New Zealand birds were flightless and nocturnal? The book was illustrated by A. Weczerzick and W. Kuhnert, this particular print being from Walter Kuhnert.
