This is a patented Art Deco design, originally by the German Schreiber and Hiller company. The final picture shows a copy of the 1930 patent submitted by A Hiller to produce this type of channel set design. However this piece is a reproduction from around the 1980s (when Art Deco was hugely popular) by Butler and Wilson.
