Gilded Teak Standing Mandalay Buddha - Late 19thC Nandi Bulls This classic cast iron CoalbrookdaleA gilded teak standing Mandalay Buddha from Burma crafted towards the end of the 19th century and the middle of the Mandalay period. This standing Buddha is made in the traditional way in carved and red lacquered teak wood with gilt finishing. He is in the iconic Mandalay style wearing traditional Burmese attire with painted glass eyes, his robes are inlaid with semi precious stones. He stands on a lotus flower mounted on a modern black granite base.
