This is a lovely example of this style from around the 1930s

It fastens with the classic Rousselet large rounded beehive screw clasp in silver tone

so was no doubt sold as a holiday souvenir

One of the jump rings near the clasp has the word 'guarantie' stamped on it - this is often found in Bengel pieces

The agate piece has really nice natural inclusions and striations. The gold tone components, including the pin and simple C clasp, have not been tested but are likely to be gold plate, rolled gold or even pinchbeck. They have beautiful repousse or engraved patterns in the front surface. This brooch measures about 2 1 4 inches
