This style of cabinet is often called a round corner cabinet and the style was first seen in the Ming dynasty. This style of cabinet was a staple in Shanxi province and would have been used both for storage of scrolls & clothes. The cabinet is constructed from northern elm wood ( yumu) and would have been lacquered
