Port Charlotte Islay Barley 2013 50% 70cl 2005 this beautiful whisky opens upPort Charlotte Islay Barley 2013 50% 70cl Nose: Big bold dry smoke and peat as we might have expected, some dark coca and brittle treacle, liquorice, dark fruits and dry spices with hints of sea salt. Palate: As bold as the nose but with some mellow fruits at the front and sides of the palate, with the additional build up of smoke and peat as the dram opens effortlessly. Peat smoke and bonfire embers with hints of smoked fish dried spices.
