A 1940s JAPANESE KIMONO ROBE ice cream cornet The backs are in goldThis is a 1940s cerulean blue floral print Kimono in a fine drapy rayon. This piece is made in Japan, but it Is more a robe than a traditional kimono, so it would have been geared towards the tourist market. The wonderful and detailed floral print features cascades of chrysanthemum and cherry blossom, which form a striking picture print on the back of the robe. The sleeves have a traditional square kimono cut, and a long squared off lapel. If it ever
