Constructed of aluminum, the obverse with a tapering handle, marked with a Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, flanked by initials FL. U. V. for Flieger Unterkunft Verwaltung (Flight Barracks Administration), the reverse stamped with a makers mark of BERNDORF and a manufacture date of 1941, measuring 26 mm (w) x 208 mm (l), in near extremely fine condition.
