Germany, Imperial. A Wound Badge, Gold Grade Newly Listed the other four medals with(Verwundetenabzeichen in Gold). Constructed of gilded magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central Stahlhelm, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 36. 57 mm (w) x 42. 27 mm (h), weighing 6. 0 grams, some loss of gilt finish evident, in overall very fine condition.
