Germany, Wehrmacht. A Clasp To The Iron Cross I Class, By Wilhelm Deumer Hold 1883 in Barrow-in-Furness(Spange zum Eisernen Kreuz). A clasp constructed of silvered tombac, the obverse consisting of a national eagle clutching a large wreathed mobile swastika with a shield at the bottom of the badge, bearing the date 1939, the reverse with a functional hinge catch assembly, unmarked but bearing characteristics representative of Wilhelm Deumer, measuring 44. 20 mm (w) x 29. 70 mm (h), weighing 9 grams, and in near very fine condition.
