Instituted 14 June 1914 by Grand Duke Ernest Louis. (1914 1918 issue; post 1918 manufacture). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a raised monogram of Henrich I on top of a Brabant Star, the reverse with an inscription of FRST VOLK NCHSTENLIEBE WOHLFAHRT 1914 topped by Heinrichs birth year of 1244, unmarked, measuring 33. 15 mm in
