Germany, Federal Republic. A Luftwaffe Front Flying Clasp for Air-to-Ground Support Flighters, 1957 Version. Hold with central NSDAP-style German national(Frontflugspange fr Schlachtflieger). Instituted July 26th, 1957. Constructed of cast bronze with a bronzen and black finish, consisting of a pair of crossed swords inside of a laurel wreath flanked on either side by a grouping of nine oak leaves, the reverse is plain, with a barrel hinge, horizontal pinback, and downward opening flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 77. 0 mm (w) x 25. 5 mm (l), weighing 18. 81 grams, in mint condition.
