It starts off as a vibrant green rosette, with leaves that sparkle thanks to the sticky dew it uses to trap insects. After some time, a thin stalk rises from the center of the rosette. This stem, lined with tiny sticky traps, can grow up to 12 inches tall and helps the plant catch even more prey. Eventually, the stalk dies back, and the rosette fades as well. At that point, the plant goes
