Clos de la Roilette (Coudert), Fleurie Vendange Tardive, 2015 rest-favorite Cristom has been one ofClos de la Roilette is a Flatiron favorite Fleurie, and the Cuvee Tardive (here labeled Vendange Tardive) is its top, age worthy bottling. Fernand Coudert rescued the estate in 1967 and his son Alain has run the cellar since the 1980s. The clos sits on a rare clay rich seam that produces a fuller, more structured wine than granite based Fleurie, closer to Moulin a Vent. The Tardive comes from roughly 80 year old vines and is built to be enjoyed later.
