Schaumburg-Lippe, Principality. A Military Merit Medal Newly Listed the ship name " H(Militrverdienstmedaille). Instituted 30 May 1850 by Prince Georg Wilhelm; renewed 1870 by Prince Adolph Georg. (1870 1871 issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with clasp, the obverse bearing a central monogram of Prince Georg Wilhelm, situated within a circular laurel leaf wreath, the reverse bearing a central inscription of FR MILITAIR VERDIENST (FOR MILITARY MERIT), situated within a circular laurel
