A ball tipped enameled red Maltese cross in silver gilt, featuring cleft silver gilded rays in each quadrant, centre presenting a detailed handmade insignia surrounded by the inscription A LA LEALTAD ACRISOLADA in silver gilt, with blue and white enameled reverse centre displaying the cyphers of Isabella I and Ferdinand II, surrounded by the inscription POR ISABEL LA CATOLICA in silver
