'906' refers to the parcel's number on the official Avellino vineyard map, a single high elevation site at 650 meters planted with Ciro's oldest vines, the first he put in the ground around 1990. It's only produced in cooler vintages with the acidity to justify it, and it gets serious aging: a year on the lees in steel followed by eighteen months in bottle before release.
