It has a 2 ply construction, with an underlayer of flatter charcoal gray tweedy knit. It is just right for a fun and fabulous sweater jacket, cape, topper coat, structured cardigan, etc., medium thick and warm with body in the drape. It is quite stable with about 20% widthwise stretch. The gorgeous colors, set in a horizontal stripe, are turquoise, gold, black
